Bonsai is hands down my favourite restaurant to visit in the whole of Brighton if not ever ... I’ve visited maybe 6 times now and everyday I’m never disappointed. Each dish is so perfectly seasoned, the cocktails are special and unique and even the desserts are delicious! I can’t recommend this place enough. You literally can’t fault it from the service to the atmosphere... We had Carmen serve us the last two times and she was amazing!

We’ve been to Bonsai a couple of times and it’s always great, but this time we had the opportunity to experience their “Latitude” event where they take two seemingly disparate cuisines, and marry them, with the assumption that places along the same latitude are likely to pair well. It was delicious and inventive! The chefs and staff take care to ensure you know what you’re eating and will engage with any questions etc. Really good food all round but the prawn toast was a highlight.

This was my second time visiting Bonsai Plant kitchen and I was again blown away by the amazing flavours and beautifully presented dishes. I’m not vegan and I usually don’t like mushrooms, but the Shanghai “Chicken” Skewers are probably one of the tastiest things I’ve had. The Dirty Rice and Tempura Cauliflower are also stand out dishes. Can’t wait to be back and show off this amazing restaurant to out-of-town visitors.

Simply magical!! Visited this evening after wanting to visit for ages and trust me it did not disappoint. The food is hands down the best Vegan food I have ever eaten in the UK. Fantastic food and service. We opted for the tasting menu which has been well executed and just the right amount of food to get the full Bonsai experience. I am not normally one to visit a vegan restaurant, however I heard so many great reviews online & also from friends whom have visited. I am now converted and already booked in to revisit again in 2 weeks. The only downside is I can’t come back sooner! Big smiles and full bellies! Thank you Bonsai for hosting us this evening. See you again in 2 weeks

I went here for lunch and it was amazing! We probably ordered just enough / potentially too much but it was all so yummy. Greta value for money as you get what you pay for with the quality. My favourites were the tempura cauliflower and the “chicken” Yakitori. Only thing I would say would be great to see more protein offered e.g more tofu, tempeh, seitan dishes.

Amazing celebratory meal here with friends. Too many dishes to try! We could hardly choose. Almost every dish was outstanding. A few more understated but still delicious. The Hanoi Pork Spring Rolls were a personal favourite Friendly staff and classy atmosphere

This is the best asian fusion food we have had in Brighton , and I'm not even vegan..the tempura Cauliflower was Soo delicious and tender yet crispy. The Pork rolls was full of flavour and the Bincho Chicken was pretty convincing too . We had 6 between us and if we had time I think we would be tempted for the tasting set menu next time we visit .

Can't rate this place highly enough, super friendly, food was another level I've not had anything as refined and flavoursome before. The plum old fashioned cocktail was so good I had a dream about it.
